How Community Intelligence works

Kura-Tu asks contributors for brief observations only where an answer would genuinely help, and tells you why you were asked. Those observations are combined into privacy-protected Community Intelligence — counts, proportions and conditions across many contributors — and shown on the Live Community Intelligence Dashboard. Participation is always voluntary.

Voter registration verification

Verification confirms trusted participation and protects the quality of Community Election Intelligence. It runs against your own state’s official voter lookup. Kura-Tu does not sell or share your voter registration information.

My state’s lookup will not load

State systems go down. Try again shortly. If it keeps failing, email us with your state and county and we will help.

My state has no online lookup

Maine, North Dakota and Wyoming publish no online registration lookup. In those states Kura-Tu shows your local clerk’s contact details and lets you continue.

Verification says it cannot find me

Check that your name, county and date of birth match your registration exactly. Registration records are held by your state, not by Kura-Tu — if the record itself is wrong, your local election office is the place to fix it.

Contributing

Why am I being asked this?

Because the Network judged your observation would improve Community Intelligence right then — usually because of where you are or what you have already done.

Can I decline?

Always, with no consequence. If there is no meaningful reason to contact you, the Network stays silent.
